So, here's my belated Mailbox Monday, hosted by Marcia. If you want to join in, feel free to drop by!
So, this past week I found the following books in my mailbox:
1) Rhys Bowens: Evans Above
This is the first Evan Evans mystery and I just had to get another copy for my shelf. Maybe some day I'll have a chance to also buy and read the missing ones (everything between Evan Help Us and Evan's Gate as they are out of print). If you haven't read the series yet, then go ahead and try to read the books. If you have a reasonably library system, you won't even have the problem with availability I'm battling with LOL
2) Holly Robinson Peete: Get Your Own Damn Beer, I'm Watching The Game! A Woman's Guide To Loving Pro Football
I recently rediscovered 21 Jumpstreet, the probably first TV series I ever watched semi-regularly. I have always loved Judy Hoff's character (okay, Johnny Depp looks hot, I agree, but still...) and when I saw she had a book out on football, I just had to have it! I'm curious about the book and hope to find the time to read it soon :-)
3) Amy Tan: Hundred Secret Senses
I got this book for one of my reading groups. It will be the monthly read in April (hope I'm not mixing up the months here!). I have no idea what to expect from this book, but I'll just see what happens when I'm reading it.
